After a few brief and furious headdesks this afternoon I found myself facing this way. It was a nice view. So I took a picture of it. Looking back I'm just glad I didn't stab myself in the face with those scissors.
I think I should make this a little daily journal, don't you? Chuck ate my SD card... or at least carried it off somewhere. Trying to get pictures off of my phone = not easy. Also, we totally made stirfry for dinner.
So I listened to a interesting little piece on NPR the other day which argued that it was our ability to think symbolically that made us definitively human. Usually I state it was our adaptation to cooking our food that did it, but this was pretty convincing. They didn't argue the usual first flowers in a grave route, but instead beads as a social status marker. Because status is totally symbolic if it's not based on, say, skill.... Anyway, I digress, but I decided this week I would make my photos images of symbols.
